September 12th 10:00 Caring for your landscape 
This seminar will cover important information on proper care and maintenance to keep your lawn & landscape healthy and looking their best.  Geared for homeowners this will offer tips and information for everyone from first time homeowners to avid gardeners.
Some of the topics that will be covered are:
q       How and when to prune your trees shrubs and perennials.
q       Protecting your plants from winter damage from harsh weather conditions and our local wildlife.
q       Mulching how much and when.
q       How and when to fertilize your plants.

September 26th
- Monarch Tagging & Butterfly release
Tagging will begin at 9:30 seminar begins at 10:00.
Participants in this event learn how Monarchs are tagged, registered, and released so scientists can study and protect their migration routes.  They will be able to tag a butterfly, receive a certificate with tracking codes and information on University of Kansas Monarch Watch program.  This is a hands on presentation, is a great opportunity for all ages to learn about Monarchs, their habitat and life cycles.
